Frequently asked questions
The fi-70f is rated for an expected daily volume of up to 100 sheets per day. It is designed as an ad-hoc counter scanner for customer-facing registration and front desks, rather than high-volume back-office batch processing.
Yes. The fi-70f supports USB bus power. By connecting it directly to a computer's USB port (using the USB cable), you can scan A6 documents in 2.0 seconds without requiring an AC outlet adapter.
It scans documents up to A6 size (105 x 148 mm / 4.1 x 5.8 in.), which is the perfect size for passports, driver's licenses, national ID cards, credit cards, insurance cards, and receipts. Because it is a flatbed scanner, there is no automatic paper feeder (ADF) to jam or damage documents.
Under AC power, it scans A6 documents at 200 dpi in 1.3 seconds for Color, and in 0.9 seconds for Grayscale or Monochrome. Grayscale or Monochrome scanning at 300 dpi takes 1.0 second. Under USB bus power, all scans take approximately 2.0 seconds.
Yes. You can scan documents directly on the glass surface without repeatedly opening and closing the cover lid. The driver software (PaperStream IP) automatically detects the document boundaries, crops out the background, and rotates/deskews the image instantly.
